Quizzing et all

Had a couple of things to do today. Had to visit Rahul in the hospital and also go for the quiz. Both were in Noida, so was lucky. Got screwed in the semi finals. Quizzing has been a passion and a sense of identity right from school. But I have gradually gone from stud to average to pathetic quizzer in my life, and I feel like an idiot for it. I see no CV ROI for following it passionately, as my CV already has enough quizzing achievements. But there are some things in life that you need to do to respect yourself. Playing cricket, ability to sprint a 100 mts under 12 seconds, 25 push ups, Keeping up to date with every single news item in the world…absolutely useless stuff (especially in b-school).but essential to look in the mirror with your head held high.

A word or 2 about NTPC, the organizers of the quiz. They were rated 3rd best employer by a Mercer survey. I don’t know how the work culture is but they’re sure trying damn hard to improve their equity. and that’s commendable

Values add today: Chatting with Derek O Brien after 9 years (was in Bournvita Quiz Contest), a cap, a T-shirt, and a sonata wristwatch.
